Why Karen?

I walked the same path you are venturing down now. I've been a nurse, a healthcare consultant, and nurses coach, a medical devices marketing executive, and a very successful real estate broker. For example, when I first moved from nursing into business, I opened a bricks and mortar retail store in my mid 20's. On hindsight, I really had no idea what I was doing, no coach or mentor, just had to figure it out. Not surprisingly, it wasn't a great success. But I developed great business insight and great sales skills! I took those skills, along with my nursing knowledge and went into medical device sales, where I really started making big money. All by leveraging my listening and problem solving strengths developed as a nurse.

My best advice to a budding entrepreneur?

Get a coach, or mentor. Seriously. If I had someone guiding, supporting me back then - I would have become successful sooner.
